New Day New Beginnings...

Well, as you see its been a over a year now. How have I done?? well, lets just say its time to get in the right frame of mind and get this going!
In January my husband and I started our "healthy eating" change. It was amazing.. we changed what we ate, what we drank .. our portion were smaller we were even working out. I have since lost 21 lbs and he has lost over 30. Not to bad.. but it needs to be way better. So right here .. right now.. this is my new begining!!
Sometimes in life you just have to say enough is enough!! And when those chips or donuts are staring me in the face, I just have one thing to remember.... I am better than that! And being better means smash then to bits and throw them away because you know 9 times out of 10 they are going to win and you are going to eat them! Throw them OUT! The best choice to make as we all know is to not even buy them in the first place. If its not there it cant tempt you!

When I decided in January to give this another shot, I went thru all of my cupboards and threw out everything that was bad. I swear as loopy as this may sound it was probably one of the hardest things I have done. Those things were my sercurity blanket, my everything will be ok treats, my lets just have one and start over tomorrow foods! Sad I know! But its so hard to let something go thats makes us feel so good. And cmon.. how can something that makes us feel so good be so bad for us. Ohhhhhhhhhhh let me count the ways!

I have become such a label reader ... and you have to be one in order to buy the right foods to bring home. If it comes in a box and has to be prepared... chances are its not good! If its in the freezer section and starts with ICE and ends in CREAM.. NOT GOOD! ;) Find yourself some healthy alternatives its not that hard now adays. Add some simple changes to your daily food and drink intake. You will quickly see a difference in how you feel. I know I did!!

  1. Kudos to you for actually throwing all that food away. I probably would have ate it and gone down in the flames of glory one last time ;)
